Ken has been a GP partner in large innovative teaching practice for over 25 years in Leytonstone, Waltham Forest a short distance from the Olympic site. He was the Medical Director for North East London Cluster covering a population over 1.5 million and led the development the primary care strategy.
During his 10 years as PEC clinical chair of Waltham Forest PCT and PCG Ken has been actively involved in a number of redesign projects between primary and secondary care which has set up some of the first integrated specialist clinics in the community. This has now increased to over 16 areas and continues to expand.
Ken’s national roles have included being part of the Modernisation Agency and PEC chair lead for the NHS Alliance. He was the Long Term Conditions clinical lead in North East London and supported the setting up of case management teams in North East London including integrated Health and Social Care teams.
Ken was the council representative for the RCGP for 10 years and is now the vice council representative for the North East London Faculty. He is also an executive committee member of the NHS Alliance.
Recently Ken has been involved in supporting primary care transformation and his current roles include being a Specialist GP advisor to the CQC.
