Andrew has over 20 year’s experience as a Consultant Geriatrician in both Acute and Community Trusts. He has expertise in clinical leadership, change management, and service redesign.

Andrew is currently the clinical lead for community services is Dorset and is the regional clinical director with the Emergency Care Improvement Support Team (ECIST). In this national role he works with teams to provide support and expertise to organisations to manage their urgent and emergency care and patient flow.

During his 15 years working in the Acute sector, Andrew held leadership roles as Clinical Director, Deanery Training Programme Director and NICE Medicines and Prescribing Associate. He has led on many service redesign projects including setting up acute frailty services and community intermediate care services. He has also previously worked with the Getting it right first time (GIRFT) programme as a Clinical specialist Advisor.

Nationally Andrew was a member of the British Geriatrics Society policy committee and served as both the society’s deputy secretary and secretary.
